Includes minutes, correspondence, financial records, and research notes. The papers have been rehoused in 17 boxes. They comprise papers relevant to the working of the New Zealand Māori Council (NZMC) and Auckland District Māori Council (ADMC). Boxes 1-4 and 14-17 have been indexed to the item level. The remainder is lists of papers within the boxes that have not been indexed in detail. Note that the NZMC papers are housed in the Alexander Turnbull Library, gifted by Sir Graham Latimer.
